Small Steps

It is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change.

I find this to be quite true.

It is the small changes that you make in your life that create lasting change. Those small changes are easier to maintain and sustain than a large change that is a struggle.

So I tend to go for smaller things like walking a few blocks and slowly increasing rather than planning on starting at a mile or more right away.

Starting meditation for 5 to 15 minutes or even just sitting quietly outside listening to the breeze and the birds.

I get it. Sometimes you just like to dive into the icy water and get it over with. But does that last for you or do you stay briefly and never come back?

If it works for you,  great. If not you may choose the slower approach.  There is no harm in moving slowly.
