Are you good at hiding you?
I don’t mean playing hide-and-seek, I mean playing small, hiding what you can do, judging yourself as not enough; judging yourself as wrong.
What do all of those things create in your life?
Fit In
Sometimes as children, we are not allowed to be as amazing as we truly are.
I know that when I was a child, several of my teachers at school kept telling me that I needed to tone myself down because I was too much for the other kids and they would never like me. A big emphasis for some of them was for me to fit in.
And to be truthful, after a while I stopped trying too hard to fit in and went with what was going to make me happier. It was a lot less work that way!
Permission
Plus I realized that, despite what they often told me, I didn’t really need the permission of my teachers to be me. I could just do it. I could explore the type of life I would like to lead.
And I did.
So, let me ask you, are you waiting for someone to give you permission to be brilliant? Do you believe that you require a director to tell you how to talk, where to stand, what to wear, and so on and so forth?
What if the world needs you to step up and play all out?
What if the world requires that you shine with the brilliance that you truly are?
What are you waiting for?
If you ARE waiting for permission before you will allow yourself to be brilliant, then you have my permission!
Yes, I give you permission to be the brilliant, awesome, talented, amazing person that I know you can be.
Get out there and do it!
Time To Do It
Sometimes wonder had I not tried so hard to fit in, how much more could I have expanded and how much sooner?
And then again, I’m where I’m meant to be right now. No sense wasting time and energy wondering what could have, might have, should have been.
Just keep moving forward!
Time for me to go be ME.
