One Top of the Mountain
“There is only one top of the mountain and many paths that can take you there.”
I have always loved that saying. It reminds me that there are so many belief systems, spiritual practices, and ways of being.
I can enjoy exploring what other people have in their lives that rejuvenates them and brings the peace and joy!
The Dalai Lama said, “People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.” It reconfirms that I need not judge that others have different beliefs than mine. I just explore what part of their beliefs, if any, work for me and release the rest.
It all brings to mind another quote that I love from Douglas Adam, author of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy: “I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.” That quote reminds me to be in the present. Stop “shoulding” all over myself about what did or didn’t happen, should or shouldn’t happen, etc. I am where I need to be right now and I just keep moving forward!
So, I invite you to be present with where you are and what is happening right now. Explore what is working for you and start releasing the rest.
As they said in Meet the Robinsons, “Keep Moving Forward” There is so much more to come.
