Rewarding Your Trauma and Drama

Are you rewarding melodrama, trauma, and drama in your life?

Yes, you do reward yourself for what you create, even if it is a “negative reward.”

Sometimes you believe you deserve to suffer or deserve punishment or to fail for the things you have done, so you “reward” yourself by punishing yourself. Yes, punish by denying yourself what you desire or purposely failing at activities, etc.

Why?

You punish yourself or prevent yourself from having things you desire for various reasons such as:

  • You don’t believe you deserve it
  • You feel guilty about having something for yourself, so you don’t go for it
  • You punish yourself for choosing what you believe you shouldn’t choose. Or you don’t choose it at all so you don’t have to punish yourself.
  • You believe you will fail in trying to get it so you do fail.
  • Other people tell you that you can’t have it, so you create barriers to validate their beliefs
  • You’ve failed at it before and can’t believe you will ever have it
  • And many more

The “negative rewards” created by those beliefs actually are not a contribution to your life. They keep you stuck.

It is time to let go of those behaviors, barriers, and blocks,

How? One good way to start is to ask questions like:

  • What blocks and barriers am I creating here?
  • Do I believe I can have this (or create this or get there)?
  • What different things must I do to get to what I desire?
  • What other choices and possibilities do I have here?
  • What am I capable of creating that I have never thought I could?

Questions are invitations to change. Questions tell the universe you are open to something new!

Ask a question and see what new things show up!

Then give yourself permission to choose what you desire!

You deserve it!

It’s OK.

You deserve to be happy.

It’s your choice.

Allow yourself to choose the life and the “YOU” that you desire to have and be!

Choose for you.
