Where I Needed To Be

I have always loved the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy books and the British radio and TV serials.

I even get the email from The 42 Collective so I can enjoy their quotes and interviews.

The most recent one had one of my favorite quotes in it:

I may not have gone where I intended to go,

but I think I have ended up where I needed to be

It’s true. Embracing the flow and the present can be so freeing.

Rather than lamenting on what didn’t happen, having gratitude for what did happen and the interesting places life has taken me has been quite an adventure.

30 years ago, I never would have imagined that I would be an energy healer and coach! After all, I was working on the Space Shuttle, so such a dramatic change just wasn’t in my plans.

And yet, I can’t imagine being anything else now.

The things I have done, the people I have helped, the things I have seen and experienced have been wonderful.

So, again, as Douglas Adams, author of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy said, “I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
