Happy Holiday Gratitude And Connection

I saw the picture above and it made me think, “Yes, this holiday season is probably looking a little different than past holidays.”

I encourage you to make it one of gratitude and connection.

I did a meditation with my weekly healing group concerning what you experienced in 2020.

Here are a few things that I asked:

Take an inventory of what you have and express your gratitude for all of it – the things, situations, people, pets, and more!

Make a list of them and be thankful for each one.

Then ask yourself:

What did you accomplish this year?

What did you breakthrough?

What did you complete or finish?

What did you change?

Create a list of those as well and acknowledge that those are things that you got through, finished, accomplished, broke through. Have gratitude for that completion.

Then ask what you learned and what you discovered. What did you realize you no longer need? What did you realize is very important to you?

Did you gain new skills?

Did you shed old habits?

Express gratitude for those too.

And then, who would you like to celebrate? Who helped you, who was there for you?

Who made you smile? Who stayed in touch?

Who really made a difference for you?

How can you show them your gratitude? Can you call them or text them or write a card or letter?

Reach out to them and make a connection of gratitude.

As you consider how you would like to celebrate the holiday, perhaps those people can be part of your holiday celebration.

Whether it is in person or online or on the phone, how would you like to celebrate with your loved ones?

Connection is so important now, make sure you connect with others as you celebrate.

Gratitude and Connection – it’s what life is all about right now.

I wish you a holiday, whatever ones you celebrate, that makes you smile and warms your heart!

Blessings,
