Write Yourself A Permission Slip

Do you need a permission slip for life?

Do you need to have permission to enjoy life? To be happy?

Are there restrictions on your happiness?

Are you preventing yourself from being happy simply because you don’t have the job you’d like or the car you wanted or the house you dreamed or the weight you said you should be?

Often people keep making themselves unhappy and miserable because they have not achieved some goal they set. The belief is that if they allowed themselves to be happy with what they have now and have achieved so far, that they are giving up on the goal or saying that it is OK that they have not attained that goal or even that they have failed at the goal.

That’s not how gratitude works. You can be grateful for what you have and still be desiring more, still be desiring something different. The gratitude does not negate your desires,  your plans or your goals. Gratitude tells the universe/God/Source that you appreciate what you have so far and are open for more.

Are you open for more?

Are you grateful for all that you have?

Will you give yourself permission to be happy with what you have and still desire more?

And if you believe that you do actually NEED permission, then write yourself a permission slip or two or ten, and get out there and be grateful and happy!!
