Insanity of Sameness

The definition of insanity is doing the samething over and over and expecting different results.” This quote, attributed to Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Mark Twain and mystery writerRita Mae Brown, reflects the way some people go about changing their lives.

They say that they want to have something different in their lives; they want to be happier, they want to have better relationships, more fun, etc, and yet they take no steps to shift anything. They just keep doing the same things over and over again and wonder why nothing changes.

If you change nothing, nothing changes!

If you keep taking the same route to work or school every day, the sceneryremains the same! You have to take a different route to see something new!

The same is true in your life, you have to take a different route, choose something new and different, if you would like your life to be different!

What one thing could you choose today that would take toward what you would likeyour life to be?

Could you walk an extra block, talk to someone new, stop talking to someone who upsets you, take a class, read a different book, watch less TV, listen to aPODCast?

The choices are endless.

Ask the Universe/God/Source what change you can choose today that would shift yourlife toward the future you would like to create.

And then be willing to make that change! Don’t just give it lip service. Don’t just say, “Oh, that would be nice, but I can’t do that.” Or “It’s too hard”, CHOOSE IT, DO IT!

Or you can continue on the path of insanity, keeping everything the same.

Granted,it allows you to continue complaining that nothing changes, but is that all that you truly desire?

If it is, then fine, you’ve got it!

But if you truly desire something different, then choose something different.

It’s all up to you!

Choose!
