Paving A New Road

If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.

— Dolly Parton

Do you like where your life is going?

If not, as Dolly Parton says you may need to start paving a new road.

Sometimes you need to just let go of what you are doing, what you are trying to “make work” and start a new road.

Yes, I realize that often you don’t want to let go of what isn’t working. After all, you put so much time and energy into trying to force it to work. And you think that just another tweak will do it!

How many little tweaks have you done that didn’t work? How many slight variations have you tried that made no difference?

How much baggage have you attached to this choice that makes you believe you just absolutely must make it work?

Perhaps it is time to admit that you need to make a different choice and start something new.

In my book: The Art And [Rocket] Science Of Breakthroughs And Possibilities, I have my Possibility Principles. Principle number 5 is Give Yourself Permission.

Give yourself permission to let go of what is not working and choose something different.

It’s OK to let go.

It’s OK to choose something new and different.

It’s OK to choose to be happy.

Let go of what isn’t working and choose something new and different.

Now is a great time to do it!

Give Yourself Permission!

In fact, here is a permission slip just so you have one!

Have fun!
