The Importance Of Reducing Stress
I was talking to my husband this morning about what to write for today’s blog.
He said, “We have a lot to do, just send them last year’s blog. Viola! Done.”
He helps me like that a lot!!
Anyway, it did make me look at what I sent last year and it was indeed still relevant for me since it was on reducing stress.
I do highly recommend reducing your stress levels. Continued stress is detrimental to your body and can instead cause major damage to your health, your mood, productivity, relationships, and eventually to your quality of life. According to the American Psychological Association, studies have shown that extended stress can alter the body’s immune system producing conditions that are usually associated with “aging” such as reduced ability to regenerate blood cells, frailty, functional decline, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers – all actually causing the body to appear physically older than its chronological age.
So I thought I would share last year’s blog with you again. It was titled “5 Simple Steps To Reduce Stress” and provides pointers for reducing your stress.
Plus my December 5, 2021 blog was “Meditate Your Stress Away” with ways that meditation can help you release stress also.
So, have a relaxing week and we’ll meet again next week!
