Life Is Bigger Than Just One Dream
A few years ago I went to a conference. One of the speakers (I didn’t write down her name) said:
Life Is Bigger Than Just One Dream
A few days ago I came across a picture I had taken of a page that I wrote that on (see the picture above).
It got me thinking, how often do people decide that they only have ONE purpose or one big goal and once they reach it, they are lost.
Or they avoid reaching it because they believe they would then have nothing to strive for, nothing to challenge them, no purpose remaining in their lives.
That’s where the quote comes in: Life Is Bigger Than Just One Dream
And it is. You just keep adding dreams and goals and things to reach for. There are so many possibilities out there for you!
If you are struggling or lost because you think you haven’t found your purpose or you’ve achieved all you thought you came here to do, stop and ask a few questions.
What is my next step? Note I didn’t ask what is the ultimate goal, my big purpose, or anything else like that. I just asked what is my NEXT step.
Ask “What other possibilities and choices do I have that I have not considered?” Allow those possibilities to show up. Ask for them to be more noticeable to you.
If you’re one of those people who have to know how everything is going to end, well, that may be standing in your way too. Ask yourself if you will ever know what the end is for every action? Thinking that you must know the outcome before you begin may be what is stopping you from taking ANY action at all. You don’t like unknowns!
Taking the first step and the next step and the next step, gets you moving toward those dreams, toward the life you’d love to be living!
So again, those questions:
- What is my next step?
- What is my next step that will move me toward _________?
- What other possibilities and choices do I have that I have not considered?
Remember, your Life Is Bigger Than Just One Dream, so keep moving forward.
