Refusing To Acknowledge Gaslighting
This weekend I hosted a Bars trade and we watched the movie Gaslight from 1944 with Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer, and Joseph Cotton. We enjoyed it.
It is interesting that when I watched it last week it really irritated me. Then, when I watched it as I was having my Bars run, the effect was much less. I was letting go of many points of view and judgments during the Bars treatment! Gary Douglas and Dain Heer recommend having your Bars run while watching the movie and I must say that, now that I have done that, I totally agree with them!
Have you heard of Gaslighting?
Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality. It works much better than you may think. Anyone is susceptible to gaslighting, and it is a common technique of abusers, dictators, narcissists, and cult leaders.
Gaslighting is a form of abuse that we often deny or don’t recognize.
I will be hosting a ZOOM called “Are You A Target Of Gaslighting?” on July 10 where we will explore recognizing and releasing where you have been gaslighted. You can register by clicking here
I did a number of clearings during the movie, based on what was happening on screen at the time. Here are a couple of them.
Whose lies, what lies and how many lies are you buying into to maintain the belief that no one would ever gaslight you? Everything that is will you destroy and uncreate it all? Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, POD, POC, All 9, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds®.
What have you made so valuable, vital and real about only seeing the best in everyone that keeps you from the awareness that they are abusive and are gaslighting you? Everything that is will you destroy and uncreate it all? Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, POD, POC, All 9, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds®.
