Bodywork Sessions for Suicide Prevention Week

In 2016 Brevard County had the 6th highest suicide rate in Florida with 23.4 deaths per 100,000 people (the state average was 15.5 per 100,000). In honor of National Suicide Prevention Week, Dawn C. Meyer, Access Consciousness® Certified Facilitator, empowering coach and former shuttle engineer, is opening the doors of the Awareness Center in Cocoa Village to anyone desiring a free session of a subtle energy treatment called “The Bars®”.

“One session of The Bars® has allowed people to know that everything is, has always been, and will always be OK,” Meyer remarks. “That one tool can change the energy of what people know is possible. It can transform people’s entire lives.”

“Anyone can have thoughts of ending their life,” says Meyer. For instance, the national campaign is being spearheaded by Dr. Dain Heer, an internationally renowned speaker, author and co-creator of Access Consciousness®, a popular set of life tools and philosophies practiced in 173 countries around the world. Seventeen years ago Dr. Heer felt so depressed and hopeless that he had set a date for his suicide. “I gave the universe six months or I was going to kill myself”, Heer explains. However, soon after setting the date of his suicide, Heer discovered The Access Bars®.

Meyer will be joining with practitioners around the world to share the simple tool that saved Heer’s life and has changed her life and that of so many others.

The Access BARS® is a set of points on the head which, when lightly touched, stimulate positive change in the brain and defragment the electromagnetic components of stress, thought and emotions. Patients report that a session of Access BARS® can stimulate a range of positive effects, including greater mental clarity, increased motivation, a significant increase in joy and happiness and fewer signs of anxiety and depression.

Leading neuroscientist, Dr Jeffery Fannin has measured brain waves on people before and after a Bars session. He discovered that Access Bars® has a positive neurological effect on the recipient similar to those experienced by advanced meditators – and it produces these results immediately.

For Meyer, the purpose of this campaign is clear. “I want people to know there is always hope. You still have choices and you are far too valuable to the world. The tools and help are available to change everything. You are not alone.”
